“The special bond that develops between plus-sized inflatable robot Baymax, and prodigy Hiro Hamada, who team up with a group of friends to form a band of high-tech heroes.”
The best way to some up this movie is charming. It’s not the deepest movie you will see, and I know its meant mostly for a younger demographic, but at the same time that doesn’t mean you have to be predictable. The animation is great, and the world building on a whole is really well done. The voice acting too here is very well done, and the cast all seemed very suited to their characters. The biggest problem for me, was the villain here. Firstly I knew who it was from the start, and secondly the actual motive I think was really weak and seemed really shoe horned into the film. There also wasn’t much character design outside of the brothers, but these problems still wouldn’t stop you from enjoying the movie. This is a well done movie especially from all the technical aspects, but have done with a bit more/deeper story telling. It is definitely gonna be up there in the best animation discussion, but it still can’t touch How to Train Your Dragon 2. And there is an after credit scene !
