Review : Mad Max – Fury Road

“In a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, two rebels just might be able to restore order: Max, a man of action and of few words, and Furiosa, a woman of action who is looking to make it back to her childhood homeland.”

Every so often a film comes along, that makes it really hard for me to find a problem with it…Mad Max Fury Road is one such movie. The movies starts at a break neck pace and hardly ever lets up to let you breathe. From the start to the end the movie is also one continuous and evolving plot line that feels organic in its development and progression. Even with this shortened form of story telling, there is still some really good character development over most all of the characters. The world building here also is really amazing, and there is so much attention to detail and everything had a purpose and a place. Everything also looked amazing. Between the impressive use of so many practical special effects, and when they were blended with the supreme digital special effects we really do get a visual feast. The directing here also plays fully into the ideals and sensibilities thst this movie portrays. A great example is the use of some sped up shots that ad to the frantic pace and feel of the movie, and they are blended in a very well and subtle way that didn’t distract from the action on screen. Overall this is really an amazing movie and experience on a whole. It does very well its 3D and it couples an awesome soundtrack for a cinema experience that will be very hard to beat. Btw Charlize Theron is REALLY good in this movie!

Review Score : 10 out of 10
