“Newlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he’s a person in a court of law.”
Ted 2 is safe to say is a return to form for Seth MacFarlane as a director, and it is most certainly very funny. There is a problem here with the jokes itself however. Seth MacFarlane’s type of humor is very topical and very pop cultural, and there are many jokes here that I can see going over a lot of peoples heads. That humor is really where this movie will live and die. It also sports a pretty solid list of cameos, that are pretty funny themselves and come in at good times. The story does seem to lose its way a bit towards the end, but the chemistry of the cast is really good and as a result you want to know what happens to these people. If you liked the first Ted, and especially if you’re a big fan of pop culture and references on a whole you will enjoy this movie a lot. If you’re not a fan of the family guy style of funny, there isn’t going to be enough of the more traditional joke telling to keep you laughing here.
