Review : Paper Towns

“A young man and his friends embark upon the road trip of their lives to find the missing girl next door.”

Just like Margo Roth Spiegelman, this movie is a bit of a mystery to me. What we get is a coming of age love story of sorts, thats also a cautionary tale, and mystery movie. It tells the story of our two main characters and the evolution of their relationship, and what it means to be in love. the movie also centres around the our main character Q’s best friends. One of them is really cool and normal, and you can understand their relationship. the other one however, is such a dick for most of the movie, that you wonder why no just punches in the face from time to time. So later on in the movie, some of the development that happens didn’t really hit me in the way that it should. And that sentiment, is kind of echoed in a few different aspects of this movie. Cara Delevinge does a good job at playing the main character of Margo, but her character itself is a bit misleading in a way that  is never really resolved, which leaves you feeling kind of incomplete. That is probably the best way i can describe my feelings towards this movie, incomplete. All in all, i think this movie is a good idea, but something in the completion left it feeling incomplete for me, and not really being able to connect.
