Review : Keanu

“Friends hatch a plot to retrieve a stolen kitten by posing as drug dealers for a street gang.”

The guys who have brought us so many laughs already through their former television program Key and Peele, finally get a chance to bring us a full feature length film opening in cinemas everywhere. Can their work translate to the biggest stage there is? Yeah pretty much. This movie i don’t think is going to be anyones new favourite comedy of all time or anything, but I don’t think anyone will dislike this movie either. While you most certainly don’t need to be an actual fan of their previous work, knowing their comedy and their brand of humour will most definitely enrich this movie going experience for you. Boasting a pretty solid cast, with the dynamic duo of Key and Peele at the forefront here, their chemistry is undeniable and allows a platform on which to build this entire movie. Keanu is both a great introduction to comedy of Key and Peele, while also being a great amalgamation of what they do, and what they do best. All in all , Keanu packs a good amount of laughs, with some serious side splitting moments in there as well. If you’re a fan of comedies, definitely take the time and give this movie a look, its most definitely worth it.

Review Score : 7.5 out of 10
